In this episode, Marko and Sebastian speak with Prof. Markus Scheibel, head of shoulder and elbow surgery at the Schulthess Clinic in Zurich and Senior Consultant and Visiting Professor at the Charité University Clinic Berlin. Prof. Scheibel talks about how his athletic career in gymnastics influenced his decision to become a doctor, why he decided against doing his residency in the United States and why it is so important to him to help medical students in the first steps of their careers. He explains, why orthopaedic residents need to clinically learn a broad spectrum of shoulder and elbow surgery while specializing early in their research. And why he always tried to work 10% more than the others.
